Facade (EIFS)
Complete EIFS system material calculation
How the calculation works
Enter the facade area and EPS board thickness. Using consumption per m² for each ETICS layer (boards, anchors, mesh, adhesive, primer, finish, profiles), the calculator works out total quantities and the number of packs.
Formula and assumptions
Quantity = area × consumption per m² for each material; packs = quantity ÷ pack size, rounded up. Example consumption values in the app: EPS 1.05 m²/m², anchors 6 pcs/m² (boxes of 100), mesh adhesive 5.5 kg/m² (25 kg bags). These are indicative – follow the manufacturer's system.
Worked example
Facade 100 m²: EPS 1.05 × 100 = 105 m². Anchors 6 × 100 = 600 pcs → 6 boxes. Mesh adhesive 5.5 × 100 = 550 kg → 22 bags × 25 kg.
What affects real consumption
- Wall unevenness and cutting boards around openings.
- Higher anchor density near edges and at height (wind load).
- Exact consumption and build-up are set by the ETICS manufacturer.
Frequently asked questions
What is ETICS (external thermal insulation)?
A facade insulation system: adhesive, insulation boards, mechanical fixing, a reinforced layer with mesh, and a finishing render and paint.
Are the calculated quantities a design?
No – they are an estimate for ordering; the installation and number of anchors must be confirmed against the project and the system manufacturer's instructions.
